I listed 3 tops on Ebay and they all sold last Sunday. 2 have been paid for and posted, but I am still waiting for payment for the third. My terms and conditions clearly state that I need payment within 5 working days of the close of the auction, which as far as I'm concerned was last night. I sent the buyer an email yesterday asking when and how they were going to pay, but still nothing. Am I out of order to send another one saying if I haven't had a Paypal payment by tomorrow night (or confirmation that she's paying by cheque or postal order) I am going to file a non payment dispute with Ebay?

I think it's disgraceful that Ebay no longer allow sellers to leave negative feedback for buyers - this buyer is messing me around and I can't warn other buyers. If she's unhappy with me doing this she can leave negative feedback about me - completely wrong. The things I've got on there at the moment will be the last ones I sell as well, especially with Ebays soon to be inflated fees!

Sorry for the rant, but as you can tell I'm not happy!!!

Skippy, what is her feedback like and has she bought or sold anything recently? If she hasn't and the feedback is low you may never get paid, that's happened to me before. People bid and don't bother to even check back or just change their mind. I'd report her. If she looks like a good one then I would wait until tomorrow night, she may just be away. Hope you get it sorted. I listed loads the other day and didn't sell one thing. X

Skippy, I've had that before and it is so annoying. I usually give them a week before I really start pestering them. I'm not sure how long afterwards it is that you can file a non payment dispute, I think you have to leave it for at least a week.

The last one I did never bothered paying, and then they de registered so I just got my fees back.

I do think that we should be able to leave negative for non, or very slow payment though.

She's got 15 feedback, all positive. The last feedback is from August. I thought she might have gone away, but I'd have asked before bidding if it was ok to pay late! If I don't get anything by tomorrow I think I'll email again and say she's got 48 hours to either pay or contact me otherwise I'm reporting her to Ebay. This is why I don't like selling on Ebay!

Sorry you didn't sell anything Viki. I've been putting 3 or 4 things on a week so I don't lose track - I'm easily confused!

Well I'm down to two pairs of shoes and one has only had two hits, the other four hits! They're brand new too but I guess people aren't spending as much now and there is no call for fluffy marabou mules! X

Yes, apparently they are making the fees 'fairer' - I read it as higher! Basically from what I understood the insertion fees will now be 40p regardless of how much you start the listing for (I was paying 15p), gallery will be free, and the final value fees are a bit higher. By the time they've done that, and you've paid the Paypal fees it won't be worth bothering about.

Have a look in My Ebay at the bottom of the screen - it's in the announcements.

I always put my stuff on when it's cheap listing day. Never do it any other time.

Is it cheaper if you use auctiva to link your listings to ebay? I'd never heard of it until I got advised on this wonderful forum.[:D]

Skip, buyers have 7 days before you can raise a UPI dispute. Many sellers state payment required within 3, 5 or whatever days but eBay does allow 7 days.
I would wait for the 7 days to be up and then on the 8th day start UPI proceedings. You will get your fees back then..or of course they may pay...I do find raising a dispute works waaaaay better than simply emailing a buyer!

Thanks Angelrainbow. Tomorrow's day 7, so if I haven't had payment by Monday I'll get started. It's only £6.75 but it's the principal! I've never had any problems before, hence not being sure what to do!

I'm just worried she'll leave negative feedback for me, but it's a chance I'll take.

If she does she does, a neg is just a little red dot at the end of the day! Leave a follow up along the lines of "non paying bidder" and after 12 months the neg will drop off your feedback score.
Any future buyers would then see the neg was unjustified and still buy from you...I know I would anyway!

Thanks for your advice Angel. I'm hoping she's just gone away and will pay, but we'll see.

I have found people often pay once the dispute has been raised..I had one regular buyer who only ever paid at the last day of the dispute being open!
Fingers crossed you will get paid very soon!
