Thats good to hear.

Halifax/Bank of Scotland is the creditor I owe most to. followed by Virgin/MBNA and Barclays
.mbna are my biged creditor, and the one I was sure would say NO. after they knew I was going into a iva they never phone or sent letter and said YES
barclays also said yes. all the other give it a yes.
to both my 1st offer and my F&f offer
IVA now over with and it was worth it.
now starting my life again,

thanks for all of your replies. I am feeling alittle bit better about it.

Like you have all said im sure my IP wouldn't have spent so much time sorting out the proposals etc if they didn't think it would go through.

Just need to cross my fingers and be patient lol.

Ill keep you posted on how things go.

Ive just had my email from Barclaycard saying my minimum payment is due on the 13th nov. I have decided to wait until they phone me and then tell them I have applied for an IVA etc.?? Does that sound ok?

Hi

Yes, wait for them to contact you

Very few IVAs are rejected these days so try not to worry, put your trust in your IVA company

Good luck

Well i have received my first letter today from Halifax (Royal Bank of Scotland) saying about me having cancelled my direct debit.

Any advice on what to do next? Should I wait till they phone or write a letter back saying I am currently proposing an IVA?

When I went into my IVA my IP contacted my creditors advising them of the IVA. The only contact I had was when they phoned me.

I have just contacted my IP and they said it ignore the letter as they should receive my IVA within a few days.

95% of all consumer debt based IVAs are now accepted, and most of us work to higher acceptance rates, so I would have thought yours will be fine - but everything crossed for you on the day.

Well my creditors meeting is next friday (23rd). Got a text message from lloyds tsb saying I was over my overdraft.

After logging into my internet banking it looks like Lloyds tsb have removed my overdrafts.

I presume this is normal as they have received my IVA proposal?

Had a letter yesterday saying I am over my overdraft (because they have removed them because they have received my IVA proposal).

the letter stated that I would be charged £10 for every day my account was over its overdraft :S eeek

Don't worry - it will be included in the IVA.

All My charges were included within the final claims on the IVA so as Niobe sayes dont worry about the charges.
Took The plunge and made the call, changed our family life and we have never been happier. Debt free and wont go back..... IVA was by far the best thing we ever did to teach us the real value of Family and money
