Hi, my IVA was approved in April 2007 with DFD and my last payment was June 2012. Since Oct 2011 i have received numerous letters / forms from EIF which i have actioned as requested. I have had my final receipts & payments report from DFD with the PPI refund totals and even VAT refund stated but i have still not received my closure certificate. The PPI refunds total is quite substantial and my estimated dividend is now much higher than at proposal stage.

This has been dragging on now for months & months with no end in sight. Can you please advise me if there is anything that i can do? Is it possible to get a closure certificate and the PPI investigation continue separately?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

It is possible to get a completion certificate before the PPI issue is fully resolved, but only when your IP is satisfied that they have received your full co-operation with the process.

Speak to them directly to see what the current position is and to get and idea of timescale.

I'm with Freeman Jones and have been waiting nearly 9 months for our cc because of PPI. The IP has recently sent us a letter stating that our IVA has been extended to 84 months in order to wait for MBNA to reply. No happy bunnies in this house.
Our gas boiler needs to be replaced as the gas board have said it is too old and the windows in the front of the house no longer shut. We have been trying to save up for these items, as we can't get any form of loan or credit, but its taking very long, so I just hope that winter doesn't come too soon and the local burglars don't study the windows too carefully. I think some IVA firms have really lost their way when it comes to completion. We have made a complaint but apart from the standard, "We are dealing with your complaint" letter have heard nothing.
Life after IVA is wonderful.

Know how you feel about DFD and their shambolic closure process. Been waiting 10 months now for CC. Even after my last payment I heard nothing from them and despite constantly hassling them I'm being spoon fed the same rubbish about my case being a "priority" etc. A bit of moaning on this forum has had a couple of their staff promising me weekly updates, but that stopped after 1 week until I prompted them. Was promised a call back from them today but that never materialised either. I got to the stage now that Ive informed them that if things aren't sorted within 7 days I'm taking the matter to the Financial Service Ombudsman AND reporting my elusive IP to his Regulator.
After screwing me for around £8000 in fees DFD are treating their customers like something that's just dropped out of a dogs a*se. I'm trying to move on with my life but DFD are preventing this and I've reached the end of the line with them now and it's time to call in the big boys.
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match when it came to kickboxing.
