Hello all,

I made my final payment in September 2011. Anyone know how long it takes to get the completion certificate? Ive rung DFD a few times only to be told the same thing over again "It's with our closing team" but they won't say any more that that. [}:)]

Cheers
James

It does take a while for some companies and I do think DFD are one of the slower ones.

Hopefully Declan can pick up on this.

I hope it will be with you soon - it's been over three months!!

If you have problems, Declan's details can be found via the 'Ask a Question' link on the left hand side of the page, you could try emailing him directly.

3 months to close an IVA seems like ample time to me.

No real excuse for it to take any longer. None whatsoever.

It should be sorted soon but each company does work differently.

When you ring them next to chase them ask them if there is a delay due to the VAT claim after the high court ruling. It's highly likely they are awaiting for the claim return on your previous payments prior to closing your IVA especially as they have been advised that despite it being at the supervisors discretion it is easier for the claim to be processed whilst the IVA is still open.

Ask to speak to someone from the closing team if the person who answers the phone is not "in the know". It's always nice to be kept updated on these things rather than left uncertain as to what is going on.

Hay James

Im also with DFD and spoke with them just before new year to sort out the PPI and closure thing. My final payment is due in march and hoping to get ym IVA wrapped up asap, was told, in the paper work it states that an additional 6 months is added to complete, so they have until that 6 months period after your final payment date to get everything over to you.

As Jan says, give declan a nudge and im sure he'll see if he can chase htings along for you

do keep us informed of how you get on
