Hi All,

I've had a few completely miserable days, since having the exact same phone call for First Direct. And this has been made doubly worse by the fact that we have been customers of First Direct for over 15 Years. And this is the repayment we get for that loyalty.
They weren’t one of our creditor either. And we also rallied around friends and family to beg borrow and steal (not literally) money so we could clear the account overdraft. Just so we could keep banking with an old familiar face. And look what they've done. In hind sight this was a big mistake. I should have thrown any loyalty to one side, and treat them like any other creditor. Ah, hindsight is such a wonderful thing.

Today we went into the Halifax and have started the ball rolling for one of their EasyCash accounts. So perhaps this is the way to go.

It's reassuring to know we aren’t the only ones in this boat, and the advice and experiences of others like us, is helping.
