Hi advice please my IVA is completed got a certificate but had a letter from Aperture with forms to fill in from First Dispute Management do I have to allow them to snoop into my affairs now what will happen if I don't and has anyone else received this letter ??
As you have seen in other threads on this subject, nobody knows as this is all uncharted territory and many have divided opinions. Even FDM do not know and, it seems, assume the case will just go away if the letter remains unanswered --- but Aperture might have different ideas. However, if they decided to go to the courts for a decision, they would run out of time for PPI, at least.

Its a never ending problem I rang them today and I asked the question by law do I have to sign this he said no I asked what would happen if I didn't he said probably nothing ,my only problem with it is there is no time limit no end date it could go on for ever snooping into everything it doesn't seem right .
I received a letter from FDM a few months ago (and an email just yesterday) acting on behalf of Aperture and recommending that I pursue a ppi claim which they would carry out on my behalf. Not really knowing what I would benefit from this I emailed FDM and they told me that any ppi that was mis-sold to me would end up being paid to Aperture despite my iva being completed well over 10 years ago. A few years ago I was contacted by a credit card company (who were included in the iva repayments) to do a ppi claim directly with them and when all was said and done the payout (which was a few hundred quid) went directly to Aperture.
When my iva finished not once did Aperture say that any claims (ppi or otherwise) I made would make go directly to them so I told FDM that if I'm not entitled to any ppi refunds then nor is Aperture.
As I stated my iva finished over 10 years ago, i made all payments in full and never missed one and although the matter is now closed my iva is never going to go away. I would rather any ppi I might be entitled to be kept by the banks etc than Aperture get their hands on it.
Unfortunately the courts think otherwise and have recently ruled that PPI belongs to the IVA, even after completion. However, I doubt Aperture would be able to compel you to engage with FDM at this stage.
