I have been reading your posts for many weeks now and finally decided to join you all.
I applied for an IVA 2 months ago and have my creditors meeting scheduled for Monday, I cannot tell you how nervous I am.
I have been in debt 'all my life' or that's how it seems. Always thought i was managaging it but in reality, it was managing me. It all came to a head when I had to confess all to my husband. Who had no idea how bad things really were. I can't tell you how proud of him I am, how well he has handled it and the support he has given me. We have 22 month old twins and I am so scared that the IVA will be rejected. Most of my debt is with NR, and I see from many of your words, how difficult they can be.
I cannot contemplate them rejecting this but I really am not hopeful.

Hi
Your IP would note propose your IVA if they felt that it was not in with a good chance.
NR seem more agreeable to IVAs than they ever have been.
Good luck for Monday

Welcome from me too.
Try and stay positive. Your IP will only put forward a proposal if he/she thinks it will be accepted.
NR seem to have lightened up lately and are accepting more and more IVAs.

Good luck for Monday.

Hi Meash and a big welcome to the forum from me also. I have recently had my IVA approved, everyone else either declined or didn't vote, but it was NR who accepted and they were our biggest creditor. They were our saving grace, so try to think positively. We'll all be rooting for you on Monday. Try to busy yourself if you can otherwise you'll find yourself pacing the floor. Oh, and I must say your hubby sounds fab to have taken this all in his stride, sometimes we underestimate our 'boys' don't we, but sometimes they do surprise us - mine has been fab too. Will be thinking of you. Kazzy x

Hi Meash,

Welcome - I'me another 'newby' and also had my IVA approved today with NR as the biggest debt! Yey! And we were only offering 22p to the £ so not great but they just asked for an extra 12 months adding on in end so we are very happy and I am sure your IP will think you stand a good chance too...

I will keep everthing crossed for you and do let us know how you get on - best of luck!!! [:D] xxx

Hi Meash and welcome to the mad,bad world of getting your debts sorted!!!

As mentioned IP's dont put forward proposals which they think will get rejected(dont get me wrong iva's are sometimes turned down),but lets keep our fingers crossed for a good outcome on monday.
