Hi Lull and welcome to the forum,

reviews seem to make everyone edgy so you're completely normal [:)]

Jan is with Payplan so she'll be along to tell you what she provides.

How has your first year in an IVA been?

Hi Julie

The first year has not been half as bad as I thought it would be. I changed jobs in October and my salary went up which meant my benefits went down and that was a little bit stressful trying to sort out all the paperwork for my tax credits and housing benefit and it will happen all over again in April. This site has been a godsend to me over the past year and it has kept me positive.

Helen, as Julie says Kallis (Jan) is with payplan and if I remember rightly they conducted her review via telephone, but I'm sure she'll be along soon to advise what paperwork is required to be sent.

Mine is due as I type and think I'll get on with this today or tomorrow then it's done, just waiting on a payslip from hubby for this week and it can go. I do admit it's a nervy time but hopefully all will go smooth. Well done on the completion of your first year.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Lesley is right. My first review was done over the phone, quite early as it took us by surprise! We only had to send the last three months payslips off. They never asked for a P60 and we never sent one.

You may find they are a bit behind this year as I know they have been extremely busy.

Just go through, and update, your I&E, so that when they phone you've got it to hand.

Payplan didnt take long requesting my payslips up to the end of December, I had received a letter by the 6th of January from them. Will start going through my I & E so am ready for them.

Payplan were late doing our quarterly review and even wrote to tell me that I should send the paysips off immediately or risk my IVA failing. They'd had them for three weeks and I had confirmed this over the phone!

Hi Jan

At my quarterly review at the end of September, I received the letter for my payslips, I sent them off, they were returned saying everything still the same. End of October I received another letter from them saying they hadnt received my payslips and would I forward them immediately. The first and second letter were both from my case manager!!! couple of emails later, they apologised saying yes they had dealt with it!!! I wish they wouldnt panic me like that.

After my December review which included my change of circumstances, thought I would be owing them money, the response from them was no change, I am now wondering if I shall receive another letter from them shortly saying oops we made a mistake, you owe us money!!

Helen sounds like they'd got themselves into a bit of a muddle, it's us that's in the IVA that panic when they do make errors but I guess at the end of the day they try to get 100% professionalism but human error can always intervene.

So long as it's all sorted now it's the main thing.

I do think that sometimes with them the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing! Doesn't help when you are panicking though.

We shall have to compare notes Linda, mine is due soon as well. Are you on FF? If not, add me as as friend and I will do the same and we can perhaps communicate off forum?

Hi Helen

Our IVA's were approved at the same time and glad to see we are both still managing. Can't believe we are near the end of our first year.

I am with the Debt People and I have to send them my payslips every 3 months. They have never returned my payslips so I assume they will put them all together for the annual review and then send them back to me. I will be asking for them back after review! Not sure what else they will want from me, but will start to complete I and E as Kallis suggests.

Take care

Janet x
