Hi blondiebon

It is so hard facing up to your situation and admitting you need help.
I remember the first call I made and I had never heard of iva's and I was asked roughly how much debt I had '£21K, I said'. When I got time at home, sat down, added everything up and did a spreadsheet it was £46K, I could not believe it and was in despair as could not see any way out.
I needed help and consulted one company and was taking all they said as I didn't know any better, until I came accross this forum one night, it was a revelation. I got as far as reaching the proposal from this first company, but I felt I had nt been advised properly and the proposal looked flawed even to me.
From the forum I found Melanie and her team who I felt confident in I was always given honest advice and support and I felt less stressed right away as I knew I was in competant hands.

It is a very stressful process and I still worry about things, but I can now see a future and my outlook is so much brighter.

You will have tough times ahead, log onto the forum and share them when you do, but you will get there - whatever turns out to be the best solution for you

Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes

Like Emma I thought I owed a lot less than I actually did. I thought I owed around £30k, but when I worked it out properly I actually owed around £65k - a bit of a nasty shock!

Hi
Just wanted to say that this time last year I too was at my wits end with our debt problems and what would happen being all I could think about. Luckily I found this forum and Melanie and her team who I have nothing but praise for. You are moving forward by tackling your problems and things will get better. Keep posting as there is always lots of support on here - I know I became quite addicted to this forum.
