I finished my lva a month early nov 16. However every time I ring up debtfree direct I am told that I should have received a letter from the closure team but never have. Was referred and still nothing, followed the complaints procedure and I haven't heard anything from that which was 7days ago. Anything else I can do ?
Not good ...they should at least be acknowledging the complaint and giving a timeframe to respond.
The closure process could take up to six months and sometimes longer. The letter you are expecting is it the closure certificate ? If so you maybe a little early in expecting it.
If you wish yo pursue your complaint I would send a letter recorded delivery asking them to respond within X days otherwise you will take the matter further and make a formal complaint to the ombudsman.

There is a solution for everyone .... Just need to stay positive !
I agree with luluj - send a letter via recorded delivery with the threat that you will take matters further if you hear nothing else. Usually that works!!

I am afraid that you are being a little optimistic in expecting a response within a week. The usual time frame is 28 working days before any response is expected. A holding reply or acknowledgement is just a courtesy these days -- and courtesy is sadly lacking in many firms.
Email Laura Harrop at DFD -- she is their rep on this forum and will assist.

Thanks I will email Laura for advice. I think I may be expecting too much from them. After 6 years it just feels almost there but still have to wait for it all to complete. I paid my final payment in November I just would like some sort of idea from them that they are at least on to closing it .
Is there another way of getting hold of Laura as I emailed her and got this back

A lot of firms have a clause in the terms that give them 6 months to close a case - have a look at your paperwork and see if this applies.
If you sent your complaint via recorded delivery and it isn't responded to in accordance with their complaints procedure then you can take your complaint further here:
Thank you for your post. I am more than happy to look into this matter further for you, if you could email me your details (name, reference, address etc) to DFDForumSupport@debtfreedirect.co.uk
Apologies, I will speak to our I.T. department. I can see Foggy advised you to email customersupport@debtfreedirect.co.uk with your details. This email address is fine to send your query through to, please just highlight for my attention.
