yes i think writing a letter is a good idea and maybe look at a different company but its been going on now since the 4th march and so far they have had 2 payments of £252 and im not sure if they will take another for this month now it has changed over i thought grant thornton were supposed to be a good company according to melanie on this iva site (sorry cant remember last name maybe giles?) but want to know what my mobey has paid for and if it has been passed on to GT or not or can i get it back for poor service im beggining to think GT have took on a bit more then they can cope with x x
Grant Thornton have always been a well respected company on here and it maybe that they are just having to sort out the firm and it's taking time.
I'm not justifying what they have done but I do think you should perhaps think of changing firms. Five/six years is a long time to have a relationship with a company and you need to be happy with them.

i think i will call again tomorrow and tell them how i feel and find out what happens to my first 2 payments that i have madealready and ask if they are expecting anymore before the creditors meeting thankyou everyone so far will let you know if i get any answers tomorrow oh well another sleepless night the phone calls and letters are getting more aggressive and threatening all sorts!! ....frustrating isnt the word xx
This is the time when it is your IP,S duty to support you.and you dont seem to have one thats not good.and you should,nt need to make any payments pre iva.
Ask if you are likely to get those two payments back kyla. You don't seem to have had a good service.
There are a lot of companies out there who don't make any upfront charges.

Grant Thornton are one of the biggest, most well respected accountancy firms in the country and have offices all over the world. You will be in very safe hands if you choose to stick with them.
You would (in my opinion which doesn't really count for much) be perfectly within your rights to notify GT that you will cease payments as work is not being carried out on your proposal.
If you were referred to BE via B&E you may find your two payments went to B&E as a sort of finders fee.
It's so frustrating for you all and the transfer seems to be handled very badly. I wouldn't have expected much better from BE after their press on here lately but I would have expected much more of GT.
GT will want your proposal to be as robust as possible, and it is likely that they did not favour some of the terms used by BE - but as everyone ought to be using the IVA protocol for consumer debt cases now I cannot really see the need for a major rewrite.
