Taz in at vets for another little op. Mast cell tumour to be removed. He had one removed before and none reappeared within a year so effectively he was cured but a little one has appeared on his back leg.Fingers crossed that hes ok. The house is so quiet without him. I'm sitting in the lounge feeling sorry for myself!

Phoning the vets at 2pm to find out more.

Stray cat ....been in the vets all day.

He's a boy,,about 10 years old. Had flee & worm treatments. Blood tests came back negativev& had already been neutered.

Vet thinks may possibly have cat flu so they've given him antibiotics & painkillers.

We have named him & installed him in our kitchen.

He is soo lovely. We've been giving him a very gentle brush & he's loved it.

I made a bed up for him with a hot water bottle ( put a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel & sat it on the box he'd been sitting on- out in the garden last night)
But so far he's parked himself on a kitchen chair.

Keeping our fluffball away from him for now.

If anyone wants to see a photo of him- contact me off forum if you want & I'll email a picture. He's a beauty & once I've fattened him up & spoilt him rotten ,,he'll never be able to believe his luck!!

On a side note: its a terrible thing for there to be a 3 month waiting list to get a stray cat into the CP shelter. They have paid for his vet check & treatment but if I hadn't have taken him in he would literally be put back to the place he was found aka our front garden until a place became available for him!!

I'm going to pop down to the CP centre next week & volunteer some of my time to them.

RSPCA- never bothered to turn up,,how bad is that??

Liver scan ok. Spleen slightly enlarged so fine needle used to take cells to send for lab work. Results in about a week.

Sitting tight til then.

Fingers crossed.

Big brown bear home after a whole day at the vets being poked, shaved, prodded etc.

Wolfed his dinner and is fast asleep now.

Glad he's home Paul.

Hairbobbles, that's really good news about your stray - he's a lucky boy! I'd love to see a picture of him - are you friends with anyone from the forum on FB?

My friend volunteers for CP and I would love to do it but I don't have the time at the moment.
