Liver function tests ok. Spleen showing nothing more than routine aging. Op on friday to remove mass on leg. Probably as good a set of results as we could have asked for.

Just brought taz back from vets. Big wound stitched up on back leg. Lump removed. Stitches out in 14 days, wound check on monday.

He just scoffed a bowl of boiled rice and chicken with some peas and carrots. Asleep at my feet just now. Night on the sofa to save him going upstairs.

Night on the sofa for me. Taz obviously pretty sore. Painkilling injection should last until breakfast time then he can get more pain tabs if he needs.

Bless him saw his pic too.

I've received my portrait that I plan to give to my husband for Christmas of our beloved dog we lost, I've not had it framed as Id on't think he's ready for it to go up yet but it's absolutely beautiful in my opinion and I feel as though I can touch his ears and play with them again.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

We thought about doing a portrait of our 2 dogs that are now running free, but never got around to it. I am sure hubby will appreciate the opportunity to gaze at that beautiful brown beast of yours once more!

We have a canvas print of Dobby and I hope we will love it as much in years to come.

How is Taz?

Better sleep last night. Up and walking about fine. Wound looks nice and clean. I think the visible stitches make it look much worse but that was a bit extra the vet added to the dissolvable sutures to make sure the wound had best chance of staying together.

Check up tomorrow at the vets. Results on lump wont be back til after xmas probably but vet happy with margins taken around the mass.

Glad the wound is healing - any idea when you'll get the results?

An update on the cat rescued by my friend - the RSPCA agreed she could rehome him (they didn't even bother with a home check) and he is now living quite happily with my friend, her husband, 2 children, rabbits, guinea pigs and her dog! I've seen pictures of him and he looks so happy. It's still touch and go whether the dog will accept him but, if not, he'll be going to my Mum's.

He's got his second chance and, because the RSPCA would have put him down, I will never donate to them again.
