Hi Everyone,
It's a great feeling having something go right in my Life for once!! Griff,(nickname) my new man, is super - I was open and honest about the IVA and he hasn't batted an eyelash!!(If you remember the last guy I dated dumped me the minute I mentioned money was tight and he broke my heart). Griff always asks if I need anything (I always say no as I don't like to ask for anything!!)and he looks around when he's here for anything I'm short of. I cooked a meal for him and his son on Friday night and on Saturday he turned up with Kitchen roll, washing up liquid, milk, wine, my newspaper and a cuddly Welsh Dragon his son made him buy for me!!!
I'm used to be the one buying the little pressies so it's lovely to feel spoiled and appreciated. He also paid the deposit for the new car (£1,330) and dropped the mercedes keys back to them - so supportive.
I have my new car now, a lovely little Peugot 207cc, hdi. It's so cute and cheap on petrol - just as well as i'm in North Wales with work most of next week (That's a four hour drive up and down!!)
I hope you are all well and happy,
Love & hugs,
Chardonnay

Chardonnay, he sounds wonderful! His son seems to have taken you as well. You hang on to him.

You deserve a break.

Thanks Kallis,
I will be holding on to him, he's a one in a million guy!! His son is so sweet - 16yrs old and loves rugby & cricket, wears a hoodie, but he is so sweet. He is the type of teenager the world should see to stop the minority giving them all such a bad name.
I hope all is well with you,
Hugs,
Chardonnay

Is it just a female thing talking about shopping?? With the sudonems it's har to know who's who!!
Is it just me or does anyone else think fresh veg is not lasting as long as it used to?? I'm finding Morrisons salad and tomato stuff goes off very quickly.
I'll welcome your thoughts....

I agree. I brought some fresh broccolli in Sainsburys on Thursday and by the time we used it yesterday it had started to go yellow. That's why I buy frozen vegetables.

I find fruit goes off really quickly as well. I don't like eating fruit so I tend to buy smoothies when they are on offer as they last longer.

Skippy if you have a Heron near to you, try there for the smoothies, it's a bit hit and miss but when they have them, they retail for round £2.00 plus in Morrison but 69p in Heron and the little bottles are 29p each or 5 for a £1 in Heron, fantastic for daughters school.

Sadly I don't think we have them round here - I've had a look on the internet but I can't find one.

Oh that's a shame as the savings there are amazing, pre-IVA I never went in the place, now I go in once or twice a week, it's one of those stores sometimes there is nothing another time lots.
