I have completed an IVA myself and know how hard it can be.
I was voted Debt Counsellor of the year 2012 at the Credit Today awards in London.

I am the Manager of the self employed team at McCambridge, Duffy Insolvency Practitioners. I have worked here for over 13 years and was previously employed in estate agency, financial services and HM Revenue & Customs. I am married with a young daughter and a wife who now works part time. My forum name is Size 5, my real name is Mike Morgan. I work for Abacus Finance, part of the ClearDebt group in Manchester, and have 15 years experience in the debt advice industry. I can advise you on IVA's, Debt Management Programmes, Administration Orders, Protected Trust Deeds, Repossessions, DRO's and Bankruptcy. I have been helping people with their debts for the last 9 years and being a trained counsellor I am only too aware of the difficult feelings that suffering with debt can cause, especially when the debt is a hidden shame.
Being a Debt Advisory Manager with Melanie I am often the first person someone speaks to when they ring up for help so I know how difficult making that call can be.

I have specialised in personal and business insolvency matters for the past 43 years and am the founder and Chief Executive of ClearDebt Group plc. ClearDebt aims to be the most ethical and transparent IVA and DMP provider. I have served on many government and professional working parties. I am currently the Debt Resolution Forum's (DRF) Chairman and I am their delegate on the IVA Standing Committee (Protocol compliant IVA's). I am also a member of the IVA Standing Committee's Technical Sub-Committee.I am also involved on the Government's working party in trying to arrange a new Debt Management Protocol.

I have worked in the financial sector since graduating in 2000. I joined Think Money in 2003 and have experience of the full range of debt solutions as well as picking up a qualification in mortgage advice. My current role is proving advice and support to Freeman Jones customers (and non customers) alike via social media.
I am a family man with three growing children so, like many of our customers, I know what it is like to live on a tight budget!
I take pride in my work and enjoy sharing my knowledge to help people with their IVA and debt questions.
