Well I make my fourth payment tomorrow - it's actually going fairly quickly. I'm not saying it's not a struggle, but it's such a relief to know that each payment is one nearer the end of the IVA.

This one is worrying me a bit though, as I received an extra payment of £300 before tax for gym fees. One of, sorry, the only perk of my job(!) is the fact that they pay £300 towards joining a gym and my mum pays the balance as a Christmas present (I found a very nice cheap gym so I'm lucky!). I've been told by my case manager that it's ok, and they won't want half (I've sent a covering letter from the company accountant stating I only get the payment by giving them the receipt from the gym), but I'm still worried that they might want half! After all, I was told not to worry about claiming for gas when I haven't got any!

Oh well, I feel better now I've got that off my chest! Thanks for listening!

Hi ya

I don't think that you have to worry as you say you can only get the money or the Gym so I really do not think that they will want half and the fact that you can prove that you only get the money for this reason makes me think they will have no reason to query this. I have been lucky as well I go Jive dancing about 4 times a week and this would usually cost me quite a bit but they have now employed me to teach beginners one night a week and now I can get in free for all of it!

Hi skippy

I dont think they will take it, its almost like a gift voucher, and as you say only payable if you join a gym. I dont think they expect sack cloth and ashes.

Anyway your numbers are going in the right direction at the end of your posts and I am amazed at the speed.

Good luck, still thinking of you

Skippy, if it's any help, I wouldn't take the money from you. I suspect you'll be ok.

Best regards

Thanks Brian - fingers crossed I'll be ok. As I said, I wouldn't get it if I didn't join the gym, and my mum wouldn't have given me the money wouldn't have given me the money either. All I need to do now is actually go!
