I get plants from reduced sections too, I was in B&Q today and got a £1.00 plant reduced from £6.95! x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

There's a fantastic site called Approved Foods - they sell stuff close to, or past the sell by date. The drawback is P&P but if you can order enough stuff it's worth it.

I have to say that I won't buy meat that is close to its sell by date, probably because of the various colours of meat in the supermarkets!

We have reduced meat..steaks for 90p. As long as the packaging is sealed properly and it looks/smells ok. We freeze a lot and Dobby eats like a king [:D]

If it looks ok, then we'll buy it.

I actually found green meat in our Tesco and when I pointed it out to a member of staff they just looked at me as if I was the one with the problem!

When I found out of date sausages at Asda I complained and it was so different - someone went straight over and took them off the shelf and went off to find me some fresh ones.

Our Asda staff are always more than helpful. Daughter works there so I know what their policy is, and if it's not adhered to then they are in big trouble.
