I'm afraid I can't be bothered with car boot sales - most of them start far too early in the morning!

We tried doing a table top sale last year, and after paying for the table we'd made less than a fiver so we haven't done that again!

[:D][:D]

I'll stick with Ebay and charity shops I think - plus the nice cheapie clothes from Asda and Tesco when I need to!

I love the clothes in Asda. They have some real bargains & they fit nicely too. I get my mum to put stuff on ebay for me as I can't be bothered listing everything & then going back to check what's happening! But my mum really enjoys it - which is handy for me [:D] Thankfully we have a clutter free house, but only because I get OH & stepdaughter to have a clearing out session every few months. They are both complete & utter hoarders, and if it wasn't for me our house would end up like Steptoe's yard!!

I do find it a pain putting stuff on initially, but once listed it's ok. Of course they have knocked fees on the head if it's 99p and below and most of my stuff I am just happy to get out of the way, so if it's just 99p, that's ok with me.

Well, our spare room is full of clutter and needs a real good sort out which I'm going to do in a few weeks time when I have my week off..Hard to believe in this day and age but we've never bought or sold anything on Ebay[:0], never heard of Freecycle or any of the other sites for that matter either..

Did do a Car Boot a couple of times in the past, quite some time back now, the first time we made about £80, mainly through selling old vinyl records that we've since regretted selling!!, so decided to try again and the following couple of times only made between £8-£12...I want us to do another one as some things we have I don't think would sell on ebay but hubbys not keen as he hated doing it last time, with having to get up so early and the fact that as soon as we arrived, people were nosing in our boot[:0] to see what we had before we'd even put it all out on display..

We hope to start using ebay at some stage so may be asking some questions in the near future so watch this space[;)]

Before now, I've seen people selling stuff outside their houses on tables, usually kiddies doing the selling, also people advertising a garage sale but when you've taken a look it wasn't the garage they were selling[:D], sorry I'm being silly again [:I]

When we were kids people had sales outside their homes. Hubby has used ebay to sell stuff & buy some rubbish that is no good. Never done a car boot but with our stuff it will probably sell. My hubby keeps loads of stuff but every so often I stick clothes etc in charity bags but we still got loads of junk of his mainly.[:D] the only things I have kept are baby things just in case. [:D][:I]

Be no good me doing a street sale - we live in a cul de sac off a cul de sac! Never get any through traffic at all.

A lot of the houses in our road are quite posh, so I don't think anyone would want my Asda and Tesco stuff!

Sounds like bliss where you live Jan, we live in a cul de sac but there's a pub just behind the house that's opposite to us, so it can get quite noisy some weekends [}:)]

A lot of my clothes are bargains off Ebay anyway. I love Asda and Tesco clothes, especially now that I can fit in them again!

DM is is lovely here - we have a nature reserve at the back of the house which is where we walk the dogs.

Apart from Asda - Primark and Matalan are my fave shops for clothes...and thankfully stepdaughter loves clothes from Primark aswell so she's easy to kit out. I've never been into designer labels, and cannot get my head round why people pay hundreds of pounds just for one item.

I got a pair of jeans last week from an 'Everything £6.99 or under' shop - which were only £5!! and I have to say that they are the nicest fitting pair of jeans I have ever had - and they wash brilliantly too. In fact I was so impressed with them that I went back and bought a pair for stepdaughter [:D]

You certainly can't beat a bargain!

Not heard of that shop Tori - don't think we have those in the Midlands.

Sound good for a bargain though!

The shop is called 'Exit' and it's what I would normally class as a 'skinny shop' ( i.e nothing goes above a size 12!! ) but just lately they've started stocking larger sizes which is great. It's a bit like a mini Primark, and great if you want to bag yourself a bargain [:)]
