Hello all ,

I'm wandering if anyone else has had this problem with FREEMAN JONES. I am 38 months into my Iva and I have kept up to date with all my payments and sent in my payslips when requested, paid what they have advised me. I have had all my reviews with various people from freeman Jones and my recent review gave me a shock of my life.

They said out I owe £4672.53 in additional monies from the first 18 months of my Iva but this is the first time it's been mentioned to me and now I feel I wasted 3 years, as I might as well gone bankrupt in the beginning. I can't afford this and feel cheated and the attitude they had was that they think I'm just gonna pay, I have a family to provide for and I don't know where to start !!!!!

I have a appointment at the citizen advice bureau with the debt specialist.

PLEASE HELP !!!

Hi. This isn't an unusual situation and FJ will not expect the monies to be paid in a lump right away.

Please contact Sarah Jolly at FJ who has helped many forum members with problems. You will need to give her your reference number for her to identify you and I am sure she will assist.

Her email is Sarah.Jolly@FreemanJones.co.uk.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Hi Andrewsmith80

Thank you for your email, I have just replied to your message.

As Foggy has already explained it isn't uncommon for additional monies to accrue and we clearly don't expect that you can clear this in one go.

After each annual review we do try to confirm by telephone initially if any additional monies are due. We do also send a copy of your annual report in the post within a few weeks of the review being completed.

I have spoken to your Relationship Manager and asked him to give you a call to discuss this further with you.

Thank you

Dear lefty121

I am sorry to read your post - I believe you and your partner discussed this with my colleague yesterday.

When completing your annual review we will calculate all incomings and outgoings on a monthly basis. For those clients who aren’t paid monthly we will average earnings for that review period (i.e the year) then divide into a monthly equivalent. For most of our clients this is the fairest way of making sure you only pay additional monies if you have consistently earned more than the allowed figures in your proposal.

We have raised a complaint for you and are working hard to resolve your concerns.

Thank you
