Hi I'm new to this site so hope someone can take pity on me if I have posted in wrong area. We have our creditors neeting on Thursday but I am sick with worry so would be grateful for any feedback...

Northern Rock who have deciding vote on our IVA has sent me letter to say they have added a charge to our account due to costs incurred with voting - does this mean they have voted NO as surely there would be little or no point adding a charge to our debt if they were saying yes?

I am sick with worry over this[:(]

Hiya Til and welcome. Sorry I can't answer your question. I would contact your ip tomorrow and ask their advice, it may be normal practice for NR. Try not to worry,
xx
It's nice to be back......

Thanks for reply chris.g - I am hoping it's just standard for NR but very very scared right now :-( will try not to fret and like you say will ask IP about it - gonna try to get some sleep and will hope someone out there might have had this themselves and can tell me what happened to them :-)

Have faith in your IP and take comfort in the fact that ovewr 80% of all IVAs proposed actually get accepted.

Hi Til, sorry to hear of your problems with NR. I must say that they were very good to me at my recent meeting as they decided whether my IVA was accepted or not. Thankfully they voted in favour when no-one else did, so it worked out well for us but as you know, all cases are different. I wish you good luck for tomorrow, and try not to worry - what will be will be and whatever the outcome, your IP is there to assist you through the process. Kazzy x

aw thanks guys - so nice to have some support - really thank you!
called IP as advised and they said not to worry and that it didn't mean defo No vote so that's good - just keeping all crossed now as NR are the deciders for us.

I will let you all know tomorrow after we know one way or another - thanks again so much xx

Good luck tomorrow, call me a cynic but I reckon they are adding these charges in now while they can to increase their share of the pot.

If its any consolation HSBC added charges early before my meeting. Just to ensure they get as much back as possible. Think positive. You'll do great! Fingers crossed for you x`

I wonder what these charges are that they incur by voting?

Could it be the cost of the phone call? Or do they make a charge for the people who make the decision?

I've not heard of anyone else doing that, I'm sure non of mine did.
