I asked the doctor on Thursday what my ideal weight should be - I'm 5'8". She told me that 12st would be considered healthy (although at the very top end of healthy) and 10st was the lowest weight. She told me to aim for 10 1/2st to 11st.

Her figures are a bit higher than Weight Watchers or Slimming World, but to be honest they are probably more realistic for my frame as when I was 10st before I looked too thin as I lost a lot in my face.

It was better than I was told by my previous doctor - I was told to aim for 9 stone! I'd look skeletal!

(No offence meant to anyone who is 5'8" and 9 stone, it just wouldn't suit me!)

To be honest I don't go much on those charts - its down to the individual. I'm 5' 6" and did go down to 9st 3lb about 6 yrs ago - I looked awful! 10 st suits me - just got to lose 3st 4lb to get there!

Count me out for this one girls. The amount I need to lose, there is no way I could do justice to it in the time before FF.

I wish you all luck.

Jan - we don't HAVE to reach any targets by the FF. Its just some motivation and great if we do lose some. Why not join us and see what happens.

It won't be the same without you [;)]

The amount I need to lose, no one would notice any difference (not that you would anyway, not having seen me before!). Trust me when I say that 10 or 20 pounds is a drop in the ocean!

It doesn't matter what anyone wants to lose, it's about motivating each other and sharing little tips, although I haven't any to share! Jan, Julie is right, it wouldn't be the same without you. X

Kallis, I have a total of 6 stone left to lose. I think 3 stone to be happy with myself, but with my 16 st frame, I have a long way to go. So please join us, no-one would notice 10lb on me either, but it's a step in the right direction.

I battled for a while, i was far too thin (due to illness)
Im 5 ft 2 inches small and now weigh 8 stone 6 which is brilliant compared to the 7 stone 12 i dropped to.
My arms still look like string beans.
You ladies wishing to lose weight, dont lose more than is healthy. It makes you feel like poo.

I wish you all the very best and hope you all reach your goals. I know i have said all this before but i want to continue showing my support to all my forum friends.
