Hello Lily - just come home (can't seem to get into the last post- it's 'locked' or something)

I must apologise that I put my comments on your postings - not intended, just I'm new and blundered around (I'll learn!) It was unfortunate that Melanie's post was there too - it's just that she (like me) is ex-Forces and 'us lot' have a sort of kind of kindred spirit..
Melanie is an IP and gives her advice from that perspective, your advice is supportive and by perusing the posts I can now see that you have been very supportive and comforting to a great many of the forum.
As you mention I too have been 'through the mill' and maybe a bit of my sensitivity has been knocked off over the last couple of years during my search for an answer to my problems. BUT Lily you WILL get through this, believe me - I see light at the end of my tunnel and you will too - I promise that.

So please accept my sincere apologies from a bit of a blunderer

Bigpete

Hello Bigpete

I really appreciate that, It did seem to me that you were having a go, and the Mel post seemed to reinforce it, however, I am seeing everything through very negative eyes right now and I shouldn’t have taken it so personally. I am also really sorry.
.
I feel much more vulnerable posting my own problems than I ever do responding to others, but I feel I owe it to you, so here goes; I was going for an IVA over 5 months ago and then lost my job and had to pull out. I was on my way to BR, when my mom, suddenly and unexpectedly died. I am going to use my share of the sale of her house to get me out of debt. However nothing is ever straight forward and a few more spanners have presented themselves, concerning my children, meaning there’s a few more tears in the foreseeable forecast

That said, we are only ever beaten if we stay down, as I am sure you will know only too well and like you did, I will get back up and move on.

I wish you the very best of luck in your STD and hope that you will continue to post your experience and support to other ‘scotties’ who find themselves in desperate need.

I hope your son is OK.
