I have just arrived home having attended an absolutely super day put on by Jan and Dave at their home. The food was absolutely fabulous, and the big bag of curry I have brought home with me is sitting in my fridge for Monday's tea. Hubby was drooling over it as he had just got in from the pub, but he knows he has to wait!

It was fabulous to meet up with all of my old friends from the Forum, and so kind of Jan and Dave to give up their home to us for the function. I did try to smuggle the lovely new addition to the household out in my handbag - a lovely little Jack Russell doggie - but sadly I got caught by Mum and Dad who reminded me that dognapping is still a serious crime!

These events are absolutely fantastic days and evenings, and it would be great if we could get a few more people attending as those that do tell me that they are so beneficial to share ideas, problems and just get some some support from likeminded people. I can honestly say that I have met friends for life on this wonderful forum, and I look forward to many more events over the years. We have plans already afoot for this year's Christmas function, and let's get a good attendance as all food and drink is laid on free of charge, and it is the chance to let your hair down at the beginning of the festive season with some really great people.

Thank you so much Jan and Dave for all hard work put in today xx
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

Mel, it was our pleasure. Such a pity you had to shoot off (I really want that car!) and weren't able to take advantage of one of hubby's famous full English breakfasts!

Thank you also for providing all of this. I feel a bit of a fraud as there has been so much food wasted. We should have got less, but you never know how much to provide do you?

I think everyone wanted to take Topsy home - Lesley even put her in her handbag![:D]

So glad the weather stayed fine as well and we were able to sit outside.

We will be checking out hotels for Christmas in the next couple of weeks and will post details as soon as they are known.

Brilliant meeting up with old friends again, and we both count everyone of you (and Billy!) as a good friend.

Once again Mel, a big thank you to you.

We enjoyed it so much, made new friends whom I didn't have a chance to talk to at last Christmas FF meeting. Thanks Jan and Dave loved all your dogs, Topsy did appear to be in my handbag as I left bless her!

Looking forward to the Christmas FF already, it's such a lovely atmosphere and the friends I've made I hope I keep long past my IVA has completed x

I love the pictures Jan!

I could have done without getting home last night and a frog hopping out from under the sofa! Harry looked so proud...

A special mention should be made to little Billy, who made his Mum and Dad proud and kept us all fully entertained throughout the day.

He is an adorable little boy, and I think he really did enjoy himself - so lovely to see that and isn't he so very clever for only 7! Lisa - you should be a really proud Mummy this morning.
