There is one of these hotels at Birmingham international, much better to drive to and park at and of course its the international railway link, so you can fly, drive, bus it or train it. You can also park without losing part of your head on the end of some fiendishly weilded hammer. (if you have ever parked in central brum at night, you'll know where I am coming from). Plus if you were to block book rooms.....

Is there somewhere for Andy to park his sleigh as well Lilli? [:D] [:D]

I agree, after the experience of being in central Birmingham last time it might be better to go a bit further outside.

Hi I dont think it is central as such, more just outside, you cant get more central than the brittannia and it has its own parking unlike the brittannia.
I was just looking at the hotel campanile just outside near aston expressway 5 mins from town. Not sure though, am waiting for my lift at the mo.
Lily will reply to your email later when I can write properly, lovley pics nanny.

The campanile looks really nice by the canal. For anyone with airmiles there's loads of hotels that you can get a free room at, including the paragon and campanile.
I'm sure we can find one with sleigh parking, the reindeer might be harder to accomadate though.....

The Campanile does look nice. It doesn't mention about having to pay for parking either. For those of us travelling by car, if we went to the Paragon, we would have to pay for parking.

Hubby reckons that the area where the Paragon is hadn't used to be the best of areas (he used to be a bobby there), but of course it might have changed now.

I know exactly where this is and its nice but its too far for people coming by train.

There are a few around the international area, I will poke around, shall I? I dont want to step in if someone else is already going there, if you know what I mean.

Ladies

Please all feel free to step in and help. The more people looking, the more chance there is of finding somewhere. I am absolutley hopeless at this, so am very grateful for the help, and as Lily and Aguise know the area we will rely on their local knowledge - as this is bit of a special event and it would be nice to get as many people there as we can.

We would be happy to ferry anyone coming by train to the NEC to the first Hotel as its only up the road and we are not far from Nec, we have two cars and would be more than happy to do this, its all a bit rural around here, so unless you fancy a hoof...... Or there is the Hilton, hmmmm, maybe not. There are a few more, see what you thinks.

I may seem a little bit pushy, here but I dont fancy Birmingham, its just not nice at night, just my opinion and as I can taxi it from there I dont have to stay over, just thinking of you guys, honest.

I have to agree with Lilli about not being in the town centre.

The St.Johns looks particularly nice for a Christmas party [:)]

I am happy to ferry anyone from the station to the hotel, so is my son. I live the area, its a couple of mins on the coventry road. A block booking may be cheaper, I will find out.

~Central Birmingham is going to be cheaper I think.

The NEC is in Solihull but that part is quite rural so the hotels in the immediate area are expensive, central Solihull are a bit cheaper.

There are a few more I will put on later, when I have some time.

He would help anyone Debbie, he is kind and very caring. Just today, I have been stressed out so much I cried. My ex phoned as we couldnt find any photos of him to put on the montage for my daughters birthday party. He was all pissed off and wanted to be included, fair enough but all I have is a few snaps of him with the older children and our wedding, which I have included. I have paid for everything, I have raised her on my own, if I dont have any, I dont have any. My son took charge, drove over and got some, scanned them and sorted it out. I couldnt leave it as I didnt want an atmosphere tomorrow. I've only had a couple of days to do the final stuff and I havent stopped, he wouldnt budge and its not like hes done anything to help. If it wasnt for me I dont know where these kids would be now. It was either put the bastard into photo shop and make him look like some kind of father, or him stomping around like a spoilt brat as he sure as hell wouldnt put his daughters feelings first.
