Hi all .

Here are the details of the christmas party.

It will be a great evening, and looks to be the best yet.

Everybody is welcome.

To be held on : November 15th

Venue: County Hotel walsall
Birmingham Road
Walsall
WS1 2NG

Telephone: 01922 632 323

To be held in: The Warwick Room

Time: From 6.30 onwards

Drinks, buffet and music will so kindly be provided by sponsors.
Buffet at 8.30 ish

Rooms : As of the 24th September there were ten rooms still available.
I have just checked the rate with hotel and there are still rooms available, a double is £49.50 and a single £39.50. so even if you are not sure you can attend, but will need a room it may be wise to book as a precaution.

Booking can be made with card details.
No money will be taken from the card and you can cancel up to 24hrs before arrival. When booking please mention frugal friends or Angela smith as a rate has been agreed.
The card details do not have to be used ( they just secure the booking) and you can pay as you like on arrival.

If there are any problems getting a room there is a travel lodge a few minutes away.

Directions. sat nav postcode WS1 2NG

Junction 7 M6
Follow signs for the A34 Walsall
Straight on until you see the travel lodge on your left
You will come to 2 islands go straight across both
Onto the Birmingham Road and the Hotel is on the right.

There is parking outside the hotel and another I noticed over the road on the left.

Trains

Train to New Street birmingham and then from New street to walsall.
From the station the cost of a taxi will vary depending on if it is a black cab or not but should be between £5 and £10 pounds but should be nearer £5.

If anyone is having problems getting there please post, as some have kindly offered to help.

Anybody who would like to come, and maybe is a bit nervous, please dont be. Everybody is so friendly and it really is very relaxed.
I was in a real flap with Lily the first one we attended, and I have been to every one since, I look forward to them.

If you would like to ask anything but dont want to post on the forum please ask on this post for my email, and if anyone would like to be met outside rather than walk in alone, please let me know, never a problem.

So thats it so far folks.

Just to add sparkly hats (skippy) deelybobbers(vicki) still dont know what on earth they are and flashing bits all welcome. [:D]

This is our first frugal friends christmas party lets all have a great evening.

I will start another post. If all those coming could post it, will help us keep track of the numbers and help Melanie with buffet organising.

I really look forward to seeing you all soon.

Ang xx

Deeley boppers are a sort of alice band, with two antennae sticking up, with various things on the ends of them, and they wobble!

That's about right isn't it Viki?
