Hi there folks

I have negotiated a discount rate with the Quality Hotel in Slough - see following link:-

http://www.crimsonhotels.co.uk/specials.asp?id=24

The rate is £49 for a double room (exc breakfast) or £59 with breakfast, and parking which is usually £6 per night is free of charge. There is a semi-private area to the side of the bar which they will let us have, and I have ordered a buffet.

Hope to see as many Frugal Friends as possible on Saturday, 13 July 2008 from 7.00 pm onwards. The last meeting in Bradford was a roaring success, and so many people are getting so much out of these get togethers.

Please use the "Frugal Friends" title when booking your accomodation, if you are planning on staying overnight.
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

That's great - look forward to seeing you both then.

For anyone else booking please use the company name "Frugal Friends". I have explained to the hotel that we are a group of friends who periodically meet up around the country at various venues. So there should be no embarrassing questions (or answers Moneystinks!) when we arrive for check in!

I wish I could join you all at one of these 'meets', but there is a government ban on me being seen in public as it upsets owld folk and children. Have a great time all.

I'd love to come but it's too expensive by train and too far to drive [:(]
Although if anyone wants to give me a lift.... [:D][:D]

Sorry guys won't be able to make the meeting in Slough as it is my OH 8oth B'day and our 36th wedding anniversary so we are having a small family celebration that weekend.

But have a great time

We'll definitely be there, although we probably won't be staying as we're only 20 minutes down the road. It'll be good to meet up with everyone again, especially as we missed Bradford.
