Hi
Skippy 13 did you manage to cliam back for the dodgy petrol at Tescos? we had the same problem and they reimbursed us the cost of repairs, £50 trouble caused also?

I am a real bargain hunter, shop mainly in Primark, New Look and go to car boots and second hand shops. Always looking for bits to sell on Ebay - made a fortune last year which got us through some tricky months i must admit.

We have a Home Bargains which is great, you can buy kids toys at the fraction of the cost aswell as cleaning products some food items, housing bits and bobs etc.

Matalan is great as well as Peacocks and Bewise.

Im an ex Pastry Chef so i am hoping to bake some christmas cakes and sell them locally to help raise money for Christmas.

Kah got to say I drive around in a big ford Galaxy, would love to walk more but as we live along a dual carriageway, its' not safe with four children that also have one pace. Our nearest shops are 8 miles along the M54.
I do recycle everything as much as possible to try and do my bit for the enviroment - but my car is a 7th family member - sorry!!

No, I didn't get any money back. I noticed the car was running 'lumpy' but knew I was going BR and might lose the car so I didn't do anything about it. The sensor light only came on the week after I went BR, by which quite a long time had passed. Once I knew I was keeping the car I took it to be serviced at the Vauxhall dealer and they did the sensors under warranty, but charged me £525 for the service! If it hadn't have been for the sensors I would have taken it to a cheaper garage so I blame Tesco!

Skippy may still be able to do something about it?
Have you contacted Tescos They could give you a partial refund?

Afterall they are a big company with big proffits.

I doubt they would as it was actually the service I paid for, rather than the sensors, which would have cost £500 anyway. That wouldn't seem so bad but I work in the electronics industry and I know how much we sell them for - Vauxhall and they sub contractors are one of my customers!

Dave's mate used to have a Skoda and the windscreen wipers used to start when the car was parked and the engine was off...

To keep your hands warm when you are pushing it!!!!!!!

LOL get a fiat panda, you can pick those up and carry them to the top of the hill. My friends mum had one and her son and his mate carried it away from where she parked it and hid it round the corner.

LOL it was soooo funny, she had only nipped in to make a phone call and use he toilet. Her face was a picture. She wandered up the road thinking someone had nicked this car. When she found it she was questioning her sanity untill she looked round and saw us all rolling on the floor.

I agree with andy about ebay. Its a great way of getting pressie's for christmas and save £'s. Try www.justsnipe.com, this site allows you to put in the amount you wish to pay, days before the auction is due to end and it will automatically place the bid for you up to 5 seconds before the end of the auction. The best of it is you get 5 free snipes per week, so it dont cost you a penny. We have done loads of christmas shopping this way and hav'nt had to be at the computer when the auction is ending!
We too save change (£1, 50p, 20p) and have saved £35.25 since september!and we haven't missed a penny.

Why spend life worrying...when you can spend it smiling!!
