I got rid of all the stuff from my thinner days, so I don't know what I'll do if I ever manage to lose this 2 stone as I won't be able to buy anything new in a hurry!

Mind you, even if I'd kept them they would have been so out of date that I wouldn't want to be seen in them!

I tend to buy classic rather than trendy so my clothes hardly ever date, I often wear things again and again albeit over a number of years.

Trousers won't be any good for me - Jan's shorter than me!

The trousers would be too short for you as well Mel - you're a lot taller than me!

They'd be like shorts or crops!

It is a shame, it would have been great to send them to a good home.

I'm only a titch though!

When my mum's hands were ok she could sew anything, and she shortened a pair of River Island combats that I bought of Ebay. I'd forgotten to check the length and short looked ridiculous on me so she made them into a pair of cropped combats instead and I still wear them!

It takes me all my time to sew a buton on.

They're standard length, and are black formal trousers, so I doubt they would look good as crops.

However, they're too big for me, so it looks like spending a day off doing Ebay!

Same here Jan. I don't know what I'll do if the hems on my trousers drop now my mum can't mend them - buy a new pair probably!

I can sew hems back up on trousers or skirts, but it takes me forever to actually get round to it!

I have several things which need sorting that have been waiting since May![:D]

I have been known to sellotape or staple the hems on my trousers!

I actually prefer them sewn up - it's just the motivation I'm lacking though![:D]

I have some Wonderweb but I haven't got around to using it yet - the crease in the hem of my trousers is so sharp it hasn't dropped yet!

Mind you I paid about £3 for the Wonderweb and the trousers were only a fiver!
