I see they want 13% payrise and have been offered something like 6% -what wouldn't I give for a payrise that big!

Last year I had just under 2.5% and I doubt we will will get that this year.

I'm off work next week so shouldn't be too bad for me.
I would give anything for 2.5% we havn't had one for two years and everything keeps going up, no wonder I am in this mess.

I filled up yesterday! Needed to anyway, and I wanted to try out my new toy. I've just got a gadget to make filling up, completely hands-free! It's great [:D]

Debbie, It's just a little plastic gadget that hooks under the lever of the pump and holds it for you! They are currently only available from the inventor. I've been looking for something like this for years! They are called easifuel if anyone is interested.

I have a very old Nissan Micra now, (oh, the joys of being bankrupt!)I filled it to the top 2 weeks ago and I have only used a quarter of a tank, so have worked out that it should last 8 weeks on a full tank! Good going. I have been to work every day and done the school run too! Its a very cheap car to run. My only worry (bit silly) is could the fuel strikes affect the airports? We are going to Cyprus in 3 weeks, have been working and saving like mad to go and I would be gutted if we cannot go cos of no fuel!!!!!!!!!

Hey Jane, good going with the car. I know that Liverpool airport have told airlines to fill up abroad before they fly in so I can't see there being a problem. Enjoy your holiday, you deserve it![:)] Viki X
