Hi in response to my previous posts my full and final was accepted on Thursday. And the funds were transferred to my IP on the same day. Such a relief that I'm now finally debt free and looking forward to a life that is just that.... Debt free. My question now is can anyone tell me what hdppens now. How can I clear my credit file etc etc. your help is greatly appreciated.
Firstly congratulations on your F&F. You will need to obtain credit reports from all three major credit file companies. Check the defaults listed and ensure that none have defaulted after the commencement of your IVA. (The day your IVA was accepted at the creditors meeting). If any show defaults after this date contact the creditors in question and ask them to alter the dates accordingly. Any showing defaults prior to this date are ok. Your defaults will remain on file for a full six years from the default date and there is nothing you can do about this, even if your IVA is concluded and you have your certificate. Likewise your IVA will remain on file for 6 years also.
