hi guys,I dont post on here often but do read your posts with great interest. I want to share with you all whats happened to me so far and will keep it updated until the end. ok so we are 3and a half years in to iva and all was going tickety boo, until my employers told me they had no more work for me, I was gutted, but then a turn of good fortune, my dad offered the iva company £4000 in full and final settlement, all i had to do was provide a house valuation, mortgage settlement figure and a letter from my boss saying i was being made redundant. I have sent all evidence off and the money and hope it will be accepted, the interesting thing is that if they dont accept i will surely go bankrupt and they wont even receive a penny and my dad will get his 4 grand refunded. so i really hope it works out, will be best christmas gift ever. wish me luck[:0]

Hi Guys, the meeting is on the 10th of January, I have to say that Wilson Field have been absolutely brilliant throughout the whole process. so its 8 days to go, my stomach is doing cartwheels

Am I correct in saying even if successful and settlement is accepted the IVA remains on your credit file for the full 6 years regardless

Yes the IVA will stay on your credit file for 6 years from the date that it was approved.

Basically, yes. It will remain on file for 6 years from the start date or until the issue of the completion certificate, whichever is later.
