Your IP is obliged to advise the mortgage company of your impending IVA, and you do not need to sign form 8.1 - which is the proxy form your creditors will use to lodge their votes.

Does the same apply if it is a variation Mel?

Yes - the mortgage company is still a creditor and should be circulated in the usual manner.

Not long to go now until my full and final settlement meeting on the 28th. The circulars went out on the 24th Feb. Is it normal for creditors to leave voting until the actual day of the meeting or the day before. I have asked my IP if any of my creditors had voted and they have not replied. I would have thought that they would have had some replies by now, as I notice on the circular votes are sent via email directly to my IP. I also have this Bankruptcy clause on my proposals so it would be good to know how things are going... R x

It is normal for them to leave it to the actual day - some vote early but not all. Your IP won't tell you beforehand as the creditors can change their minds up to the time of the meeting.

I agree with Jan, the majority of creditors vote on the day.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine x
