gaborkiraly - it is not too late to change the firm you are using. I recommend that you visit www.iva.com where you will find a list of companies with reviews, or click on the expert link on the left hand side of the page. The professionals on here come highly recommended.

I am sure you can get better service from one of those.

Okay, been a while since I posted and from my point of view seems like ages :)

However, I got a voicemail message from IVA yesterday and it was good news, I was suprised they told me on a Voicemail but she said my IVA has been accepted and i need to ring them to sort out Payments and stuff ready for June.

Now, I am absolutely delighted with this, but am cautious never the less as dont want to get ahead of myself and mess it up with a stupid mistake.

The question I have now, is they have left that message about arranging payment, so I do ont have to pay it till end of June which is fine, but what I am wondering is what sort of proof they want if any. reason I am asking is the Lump sum will be made up of some inheritance my Girlfriend will be getting thorugh her parents, bonus payments at work for her and the sale of her car which will make up the 8K.

Now, obviousley she has not sold the car yet so no proof of that, will be getting a bonus but not sure of exact figure and no proof of that and the inheritance is coming to her parents and they are then giving my girlfriend some of this.

So I am worried that with no specific proof until the money actually hits her account, will this hamper the F&F

No - all you have to do is to make sure that what lump sum has been promised is given to your IP in the time agreed with your crediors and/or IP. Well done.

Cheers David,

Thats a weight off my mind as didnt want it to fail due to not showing proof of the funds.

Well, just got to sit tight and wait patiently now and come July, I could be debt free thank god, apart from the money I have to pay back my Girlfriend :)

Feels like a New start is just around the corner

Okay, thought I would update you all with a some more news which i just want to check is all correct.

I got the letter in the post accepting my F&F settlement a frew days ago, but on it was the date for settlement of March 2009 which was the original date I agreed before re-arranging it with them for june which was fine for them. Now I explained this to them and they were fine about it and said just pay the Lump sum in June.

Two things I was confused on was I asked firstly did another variation meeting need to go through as crediter agreed on the principal I was paying in March aswell as the Figure I presume but she said no, we dont have to do that as they have already agreed. Is this correct as dont want the crediters chasing why the money is not with them in march.

To follow on from this, she also mentioned that I just need to pay this months amount which I have and then nothing till Final Lump sum in june then. So I queried this and she said, no it says how many monthly payments i have to pay in settlement so wont have to pay anymore now. So what will crediters do when they see the money is not with them and also they are not getting monthly installments. Is this the correct provedure.

I mean if the above is correct, then it helps me out no end, but just want to make sure

Cheers

The creditors don't get paid every month, I believe they are paid every year, so they won't be expecting any monthly payments from you.

If your IP says this is ok, then I imagine it would be. Perhaps you could ask them to put the June date in writing for you for your own peace of mind, plus the fact that they require no more payments from you.
