My IVA completed last year after only 8 months, and I've recently sent copies of my completion certificate to the 3 credit agencies, plus ensured my name is no longer on the insolvency register (it's worth a check for anyone who hasn't, mine was still there 1 year on much to my surprise and I had to contact my IP to remedy it). I make regular payments to a credit card and car finance company and also have a good income. Do I have any chance of obtaining a current account with a debit card? If so does anyone have suggestions of a bank that may be more likely to take me on?

I am sure that if you shop around you will find a bank who will allow this, but I cannot make any recommendations. Have you asked your current bank if this would be possible, as at least they have a history of your account to refer to.
