Some do and some don't, and some (like my company) like to see the first payment made at the time of the proposal signing, to demonstrate affordability and commitment to the IVA at an early stage. The monies are returned in full in the event that the IVA is rejected by creditors.

I am not sure what stage of the game that actually is with your company - have they written a proposal for you and have you had a meeting with your IP yet?

Hi RBS,

Is that payment refundable if the IVA will not proceed?

It is certainly worth checking with your IP before the event - although I am sure that your IVA will sail through.
