Any other family willing to guarantor ? I know someone else got a relative to do it on the grounds that the child was less likely to default if they didn't think the "bank of mum and dad" was going to pick up the tab. This way they didn't have to 'fess up to being in an IVA to anyone.

Hi Foggy, no, there is no one in the family who could help either! it seems so harsh for him to have to suffer because of my mistakes.

I was in exactly the same situation when I was in an IVA, however I did have my brother and how I explained it was that she was less likely to default on anything if he was the guarantor as opposed to me and he did it.

Oh Foggy did you mean me, only just read your reply before I pressed submit reply.

Not sure how to get around this unless a close friend will do it maybe if there is no family.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
