Same in this house Paul, always goose fat for roast potatoes.

Turkey crown and beef for Christmas Day and that'll extend into boxing day too. Probably go to daughters for New Year x

well I will be at work and will be lucky to get a cup of coffee let alone anything else!

But boxing day we will have our xmas dinner, I can't say the thought of a 3 or 4 bird roast appeals to me really, although I haven't tried one so maybe I shouldn't knock it.

Have had a goose before a few years ago, yes they are quite fatty and very gamey, prefer turkey really

I really need that teleport machine inventing & building like yesterday! I want a Christmas dinner teleporting to my house on the day.

Hubby is working, I normally do Christmas dinner for us & my parents, but I will be to heavy & tired by then. I can see me with shop ready made everything & instructing my dad to shove it all in the oven! X
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X

Don't blame you Lyns, that's the best thing for you.

I definitely wouldn't like goose then if it's gamey. Stupid thing is though - I love venison!!! That's the only game I will eat.

We find turkey a bit dry and hubby isn't that fussed on it so we're havin a capon on Christmas Day and then a piece of gammon on Boxing Day which will be served at tea time as I'm at work then and it will be a sandwich for lunch for me!!

I'm not over keen on turkey but decided to treat us this year (wonderful things vouchers!) and bought a butter basted turkey breast from M & S. If it was left to me we'd have fish fingers and chips for dinner - I don't see the point of 'special' food for Christmas!

We've got my uncle coming for dinner as well this year as he'll be on his own and we've only got 4 chairs for 5 of us!

I don't think I'd like goose, and I'd never eat venison.

I don't see the need to be honest and ours won't be any different to a normal Sunday lunch here. The capon is something we all like.

I love venison but nobody else in the house does so we never have it! It's the only game I like.

someone's going to have to sit on your knee then Skip!

I love xmas dinner, I think it's nice to have a really special all out guns blazing feast once a year, I just get sick of cooking it for everyone each year and noone else returning the favour

[:D] Lem!!!

We normally only get a chicken but decided to treat them this year as they've all helped us out this year one way or another - Dave's mum helped with the bills when he couldn't work, my uncle has given us some money towards the wedding and my mum has paid towards my dress. Something special for Christmas dinner seemed the least we could do. We also wanted to make it a bit special for my uncle as my aunt died in July and it's the first Christmas for all of us without her.
