So today, my dad offered me £25,000 as a depoist for a house ..
I am in an IVA (5 months in!) My parents know nothing about this a situaiton I am comfortable with. He offered to go guarrantor on any mortagage i got (so i guess he would find out about the iva)

I know that if your IP agrees you can get a mortgage.. but who out there can help you with this?[V]

Has anyone else done this? I am sick of renting ..

Hi Lula - you lucky girl!

Welshboy, who regularly posts on the forum aka Tony Parsons will be able to help you find a suitable mortgage, but he is on holiday until 19 May. He does have his Blackberry with him, and is working whilst away, so why not drop him an e-mail at

antony.parsons@btopenworld.com

Your IP will have no problem in agreeing to a mortgage, so long as the monthly repayments are no more than the rent you are currently paying.
