Does GE Money run BT credit card? Sometime ago GE sent my wife a credit card which she did not ask for - she cut it into two pieces and sent it back - they sent her another with an increased limit - my wife does not work- she sent that back and they telephoned asking why she did not want it and what had they done wrong!!

No, it's MBNA - another reason to give it a wide berth.

It is just the BT credit card which is run by MBNA as far as I am aware, MBNA belongs to the Bank of America.

I don't think they have any links to GE Money.

J has told me that Richard Branson is quoted as saying help should be given to people in financial trouble. If that is true then he start with his own firm Virgin Card - they use MBNA!!

Unfortunately, even if any of the banks do go bust, the debts owed by their customers will just be transferred elsewhere.

just found out today that Yorkshire bank refused my IVA on the grounds that the loan with them was not in credit enough, what???
Anna, a really helpful lady talked to them and explained that I could also pay more now, my wife has found a job, but to no avail. we have decided on a 3 month dmp and then resubmit, as every one else said ok. strange that, barclaycard, well their call centre from somewhere outside the british isles, has tried to bully me into paying huge amounts as long as we do it now, it will be ok...
I spoke to Mike tonight who adviced me to ask them to remove my details from their database, does any one the details that force them to stop calling me at work. If I am made redundant do they not realise they will get nothing when I am bankrupt. please help.
Paulf.
