I have just bee reading some old posts and nearly wet myself laughing at poor Mrs Skint's mum lol. How funny would that have been to see!

My mum is always falling I usually walk off laughing whilst everyone else is picking her up - I know I'm cruel. A bit juvenile really but hey........

LOL marie, you would think my mum would learn but noooooooooo, the very next day she had another go on the horse. She stayed on a bit longer and even broke into a trot for all of 2 steps. All was going fairly well.......untill.........she tried to get off [:D][:D][:D]
She fell AGAIN, i just dont know where she puts her feet. Well, i was in more pain than she was.......me sides and jaw were killing and i almost wet myself.
Shes 58 years old. Shes now been nicknamed "have a go granny"

Anyway, shs booked herself some riding lessons now and is saving for her own horse....but.......she doesnt want one that runs or trots LOL

Seriously, theres no help for some folk.

Soooooo funny................
I can just imagine....shaking with laughter again!!! Other half giving me the look[:D]

I am one of these people that always laughs at the wrong time. I cannot take my mother anywhere - especially anywhere posh - she is not very diplomatic and always embarrasses herself and me lol.

You will have to try and get your hands on a camcorder if you haven't already got one and film her antics - I am cruel!![:D][:D]

I can just see this poor horse with a bald patch where she has grabbed on for dear life!

I bet you will be going with her to these lessons for shear entertainment. Tell her she has brightened my day and you have......

I don't mean to be awful about your mum by the way.....

Oh i will be front row, camera in hand. The pictures i have are brilliant where his saddle has ended up down his side somewhere where shes slid off.
The instructors at the riding school are in for a real treat.
When asked had she ridden before, she replied "yes on a donkey when i was 10"

Oh mrs s you're so rotten! I wouldn't dream of laughing at my mum if she fell no really honestly - oh well maybe a bit.

I think we should call my mum have a go granny too cause I've just heard that she is about to embark on her 6th marriage and she's only 55. Some people never learn!

Your mum sounds like such a good sport and horseriding is a much more sensible passtime than being a serial bride!

Hope she gets the knack of it soon [:D]

It must defo be true what they say - you do revert to children again the older you get!

The office I work in are all older than me by at least 18+ yrs. They all really make me laugh. Some of the things they do are hilarious.

I am picking out the best bits for when I'm a bit older. Great stuff!!

Good on your mum, once is enough for most LOL

On a serious note though, shes my best mate in the world and she even pushes me shopping trolley when it gets too heavy. Just a shame i can never find her to put anything else in it.

She is doing you a favour so you don't spend too much!

That's what best mate are for!

I know what you mean though seriously.

My relationship with my mum can be strained but over all I wouldn't change her.
