Hiya all

I was forced to cancel my direct debit with my optician last year, I simply couldnt afford it. I was really careful with my weekly disposable lenses, I still have a couple of pairs left, I wear them until they are just too misty to see through. I will need to sort this out very soon but I am worried about if there is a credit check... do they?? I tried to get them directly from Tescos but they will not accept my prescription as its too old.

The bear is an optician but he does not post here anymore.

You must take care of your eyes Lilli ... although I'm a great one to be giving advice at the moment as mine are terrible and I just don't seem to get the time to go for an updated eye test even though I have a voucher from the Open University as my employer as I am suer it is all the online work that has made them deteriorate.

At risk of hijacking the thread ... can I just ask of any experiences and of you ladies "of a certain age" out there might have had with using Progesterone creams? I am feling really 'peculiar' of late, beginning to reach a 'certain age' and I am told that progesterone therapy might help?

Apologies in advance Admin for introducing a 'social' question in the wrong place [:(]

Debbie, just caught up with this.

I never used any creams, but I did have HRT before having all my bits removed (sorry about the 'too much information'!)

I couldn't have managed without it (neither could hubby - I think murder would have been done), so perhaps go and have a chat with your doctor?
