Whatever letters and calls that you get just simply inform them that you are going in to an IVA and anything in writing just forward to your IP once agreed. After all has gone through you will find that it will all stop thank god

Not really mate as if they are part of your IVA Creditor list they will be bound to it anyway but in all honesty if they do ring just tell them that you are going through an IVA with whoever you are using and politely tell them not to contact you anymore

Bank account has now been closed down and the phone calls have started, they are coming up as 'private number' on my mobile I haven't answered any of the calls. Suppose there are more to come from other creditors. Trying to stay calm and not let it bother me but its not easy.

hello everyone thisis my first time on here I am going for an IVA after getting myself into a stupid amount of debt, I have found this forum and it is brilliant to see I am not the only one in my situation. I am not sleeping very well, snapping my partners head off constantly and just want to cry, I am so scared that the IVA will not be accepted and I am totally in the poo!

You are not alone MrsO and you will get plenty of support here as I know I have. I dunno what I would have done without the people on here.

What stage is your iva at ?

I too have just opened a new bank account luckily got my acc no straight away, but I can't cancel or write to who I owe the most too as that is with whom I have my current bank account with. Has anyone got any experience of dealing with barclays? are they reasonable?

Hi

I am with barclays or was as they have today closed or stopped me having access to my account , also have loan and card with them so will let you know what they do next.

I was told not to close anything but just to stop my payments to all creditors.

Just thought I would let you know about Barclays as that is the only letter I have had so far.Well it wasn't that bad they did ask for a payment and said they appreciated the state i was in ( words to that effect but no threats )and asked for a payment to reach them by 30th June. Tho thats a bit strange as my creditors meeting is this week 20th June is that normal ?

Can't wait for friday to come and go and hopefully all goes well

Haven't answered any calls so dunno who else might be hounding me
