You would think it is satisfying but they DO NOT acknowledge it at all and just keep on ringing. Believe me I must have repeated myself so many times this week. They are completely stupid!

Maxdebt thanks for that it was a great post, espesially Lilys. I think i am just going to ignore them over this weekend and then ring my IP on Monday. After all my iva is now aprroved and even though i know it takes some time for different departments within these organisations to get the info i still think that they are excessive with their calls. But it is good to have some legal jargon to throw back at them if i do answer![:D]

Mercers may act for other creditors but they definately act for Barclaycard.

And haven't most of us had fun with Mercers Viki?

I warn you now that they are bullies and will ring and leave messages several times a day.

I never answered their calls until the day my IVA was approved and then I had great pleasure in informing them of the fact. They still went on to try and get me to make a payment though!

I'd continue to ignore them.

Yeah Kallis, can't seem to forget them!

I've been really polite up until now and I don't want to end up being horrible to anyone, so I'm not answering any calls until I've got a bit more info to tell them. I'm not answering the door either![:(]

yeah,i can imagine that it is very satisfying barb.if they do ring again i think i will answer just to make sure that they havent been given my work's number(even though ive insisted all my creditor's remove it from their files)! but then again if they did ring my works i dont think any 1 would have the foggiest who mercers are,coz i certainly didnt.& its not as obvious as the likes of barclaycard & goldfish ringin up ! x [:)]

im trying not to ramble on too much, but i have to say that throughout this whole process my biggest fear has been them ringing me at work.the thought of going into work & 1 of my colleagues saying 'barclaycard rang for you 15 times yesterday' is just too much to bear.my colleagues are all lovely & supportive people but apart from my other half nobody else knows about my financial problems.i mean i know my details are going to be put on the register but im hoping that nobody will find out even through that.x

Tori, you could always tell everyone at work that you have an ongoing query with barclaycard, you could make something up, fraud, charges, trying to get you to take out a loan, you get the idea....
That way they will understand why they are calling so much.

well,i sort of had a speech ready along the lines of 'we applied for a loan with them and they keep ringin to see if were goin ahead with it' but my problem is that i panic too much and get paranoid that people will suspect that something isnt quite right !?! thats just me though i worry about things before theyv even happened.x[:)]
