It's raining here now, but it's supposed to freeze tonight - should be great fun getting to work tomorrow!

Good luck with the job - it sounds good. I keep having a look around but my job is fairly well paid for what I, so I'm having trouble finding anything.

Hello guys,

Just wanted to say good luck kerri for the job and skippy I hope youre OK. I have been out in the snow with my kids and the dog, was going to walk to the P office 2 miles away, son 'stacked it' only 5 mins into the walk, I couldnt cope, my feet where just too cold, went back for the car, did manage about a mile though. Its still snowing here, kids couldnt go to school, so they are having fun making a snowman now.
good luck getting to work tomorrow, I am feeling better than yesterday.

Glad you're feeling better Lily. I don't blame you for not walking - far too cold! I'm ok today - this might sound daft but I feel I have a new purpose. I have entered the Cancer Research Race for Life and I am going to start training to run it as I have walked it for the last couple of years. My company pay for gym membership for me so I'll start on the treadmill and then go onto the roads when the nights are lighter. If the roads aren't too bad tomorrow night I think I'll start then, so don't worry if you hear reports of an earthquake in the Sunbury area it's just me on the treadmill!

good on you skippy for entering the race.
lily i walked less than half a mile to the school and that was bad enough, our schools remained open much to the annoyance of the kids, you must have been frozen, i have just started a blog, felt like i was writing an essay.

Hello Skippy

You do sound like you have a purpose, this is good for your mental and physical health. Listen, this is my prof advice, sports medicine is my thing. Build up slowly, your bones are constantly renewing and reshaping according to what pressure they are used to. So therefore, they may not adapt as quickly as you want to push them so start slowly with a short distance, (use bus stops as a guide) and gradually build it up other wise you may risk a stess fracture, muscles need to be warmed up also, otherwise they will tear. I will shut up now, have great fun.

Kerri, my boots are swuade (I dont know how to spell that, its leather inside out)and jeans too long, my feet where wet, the ice water gradually spreading up my legs, I wanted to cry, plus the dog, pulling, I should have worn skis. The boys slinging snow balls also. Fun? I dont think so, out came the car.

Have fun tomorrow, all the schools are closed here, tomorrow too, just had a call from the transport. Thats my lie in sorted.

Thanks for your advice Lily. I'm going to start on the treadmill to try and get used to it (and limit the amount of people who see me!) and then move outside when the weather improves. I've got to go careful as I've got a weak knee and a dodgy back (this could be interesting!) but if I don't try I won't know! At least this should help me lose weight as well - I told myself when I was 30 I would lose 2 stone. I'm 32 next month and still haven't managed it!

Enjoy your lie in tomorrow Lily. I won't be jealous as I slip and slide to work!

Go for it skippy, strap the knee, walking, I mean running is fine, on a treadmmill cause it really reduces the stress on your feet, (barefoot is best) I will lend you my dog for work, all you need are the skis. Oh and I will, thanks.
Thinking of you always, Dave look after her, or I will send my dog to bite you. (oooh, I might be nice but theres thug in me trying to get out)
Love

Oh Lily, I wasn't having a pop at you - I meant it as a joke, I hope you know that.

I hope you enjoyed your lie in - you deserve one more than me anyway! I made it to work, and now I'm here I really can't be bothered, hence I'm on here - I've got that Friday feeling!

Of course I know, you were only joking,I was only joking also. I slept til 7.30 which is better than 6.00. I am just sorting out my stuff now, only one of the boys are up another one is coming home for a whole week, last time they were off, mom died on the day the broke for chrimtmas, so I am hoping to make this break a little bit special for them. It is amazing, this christmas was the first time in years that I had time off with them without having to go to work! Have a great day and a better weekend.

Hi everyone,

Well today i told my supervisor not to agree to any figures with out the approval of my husband and myself (i dont trust them) so we have resided ourselves to BR but i am so much happier at the thought of not trying to kid myself that we could manage the payments. We will take what ever they through at use i am more concerned about loosing the car as that is our only transport for work and everything not bothered about the house though stange i know but we can always get a rental without the upkeep the mortgage.

Well will wait and see what the response will be to the variations (not good but they can have what we can afford or get nothing through BR as we have not assest and 4000 equity not alot left for them when everyone else has taken their slice.

speak to you soon have a good weekend

Glad I didn't offend you Lily!

I have been doing some serious thinking (that'll surprise Dave!) and I am seriously considering bankruptcy. I have put all the info on another thread - basically I have £100 a month less to live on than I should due to the way my expenditure form was set out. My own stupid fault for signing it, but hey ho, you live and learn. I was desperate to do something, and just so pleased when it was all agreed. I'll let you know what I decide - god I'm nervous! I am managing at the moment as Dave has a lot of work coming in, but if that changes I'll be in trouble.

Good luck with the variations Coco - just make sure you only sign it if you are truly happy.

Have a great weekend everyone, and thanks for listening to me x

Hi Skippy,

I know how you feel, i was the same and agreed to everything just to get it approved but now struggling we are not being greedy we just have enough for basic living expenses let alone anything else. But i think what has annoyed me most is that i have paid alomost £4000 already (i could have a good holiday for that :-)) but i am so more positive now and more relaxed and acutally laughed for the first time in ages that was not a pretend one.
