Hindsight...oh I do torture myself with that, I just wish Mr R had told me earlier what was going on and not let stubborn male pride get in the way. Men!

The worst thing that ever happened to me was when TSB (as it was then) gave me a Trustcard even though I said I didn't want one. They said it was a cheque guarantee card as well.

After that I went on to get as many cards as I could - and spent on them! They've been paid off time out of number and we have still gone on and spent again.

Not this time!

We're all the same Jan and hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I've a great new group of friends who support each other in this place we're in so it's not all bad, we'll all come out the other end, stronger, wiser and with some great mates xx

Couldn't put it better myself Lesley....I believe everything happens for a reason and if hubby hadn't had so much debt, I wouldn't have found you lovely people.

I could not agree more!

I have so many new friends that I have made on here which I wouldn't have found if I hadn't been in debt. A bit of a two edged sword really. I could have done without the debt, but where would I be without everyone?

I've met some of them, and hope to meet some more next week. I wouldn't be without them now.

Hi

I can relate to everything you are all saying. I do wish I had told my hubby sooner as I know I have hurt him and I feel guilty about that. I just kept thinking something was going to come along and it would all be ok. How stupid was that!

Linda - I know just where you are coming from with that. I was exactly the same.

We got through it and are stronger than ever.

Countrygirl you're getting there, that's the main thing, I hope the feeling of guilt lessens for you as you're moving towards a solution of the problem and you have each other that's the main thing.

We've all honestly been there with the thoughts next month will be better because of this or that. x

I am a firm believer that we make our own destiny. I knew we shouldn't have been spending the way we did, but I would carry on!

A little philosophy for you two - Plato said that in order to be right one has to have made mistakes because without the mistakes one would not know what is right!!

I don't think I made my own destiny with our financial situaion as I am having to deal with Mr. R's destiny!
Perhaps my destiny was to kick him up the bum and sort him out and make him deal with things and get his head out of the sand.
I need to manifest more...I have been letting the side down on that score.

Max - that's a bit too profound for me!

Lesley - I know exactly where you are coming from!

Hi
Thanks for all your words of support. Trouble is just when I thought things were starting to get better; I have now got all this worry over my job which I did not expect. I left banking 2 years ago because I just could'nt stand it any more and was lucky enough to find a job in local government which I really enjoy but now under threat of our department closing. hoping for redeployment but nothing is certain, wont know until next year.
Never mind these thing are sent to try us! I know a lot of people are in the same boat.
