Greetings

Is anyone else experiencing major delays in getting there completion certificate from Grant Thornton??

I've been waiting 10 months for mine and don't seem to be getting any closer to it.

Every email I get just has another excuse in it.

What can I do?

HELP!

Hi gizmo. Hopefully Carol from GT will see this, she's been really helpful with alot of posters on here. GT are having major issues with closures though, I do know that, loads of people on here been waiting a long time, 10 mths seems quite extreme tho, have you emailed them?

have been emailing Grant Thornton Closures team directly as well as frequent phone calls to the customer service number, which to be fair is of no use at all as they don't have any idea what the closure team is doing.

I'm guessing that they don't have any answer as to why its taken so long hence the useless email replies

I am having the same problems, only not with Grant Thornton. A full and final settlement was made in November.

I first enquired about the completion certificate at the beginning of May and was told there had been some problems with VAT but it was all sorted and I should receive the certificate within 4 weeks.

I enquired again mid June and was told I would receive it within 6 weeks. I phoned two days ago and was told someone would call me the next day. The call never came and I am feeling quite anxious now as I just want to put it all behind me.

Exact same bout as everyone here. I completed in January this year, still nothing. Repeated calls to customer services with no call back, When you finally get through to someone it's just the sorry we have a backlog.

To be honest I might never have noticed until I checked my equifax credit report and it is still on there. Strange because it has been removed from experian.

Is there really nothing we can do here? There must be hundreds of confused people that don't think to check on the internet and have no clue what is going on.

Might as well get used to it. It seems to be the norm with GT now, I've been waiting nine months and getting nowhere fast.

Well I am still waiting for an EIC letter of opt out to arrive for me to sign and hopefully one day a Completion Certificate from GT. I am now in my 10th month since paying my final contribution on the 1st October 2011 and now to add to unbelievability GT have sent me an income and expenditure form.
