Karol stated that EIC will not have to contact us but the letter I received states that EIC will get in touch with me directly. Anyone know which is true? Karol ?
Final payment made Dec 2011.

I had my letter 3 months ago from GT ref EIC. I have not had any other correspondence from EIC directly. I did get a phone call off GT a few weeks ago stating that EIC should be contacting me with some figures "by the end of the week". However GT did not specify which week. Not heard anything yet.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

Hi,
I received my CC last week from GT.
Today I've received the EIC letter from them. Does anyone know how it will work after receiving my CC. It does state the same as others that if they don't hear from me in 10days they will assume I'm happy to share my data with EIC
Thanx

I got the same letter this morning dated the 19th July, as it's the 28th this meant you only have one day to contact them! I phoned up and told them i don't want my details passing on as i am waiting for my CC (which at first i thought the letter was!)
The lady on the phone said she thinks they have been an admin error as people are receiving them that have finished the IVA and they should have only gone to people who are have a number of months left to complete???
She said she has been swamped with calls saying people have only received them today dated the 19th July!

This is all very confusing. If it has been an admin error we can relax (probably). But if not we're in limbo for god knows how long. Perhaps my CC will turn up after all.
I haven't got the energy to try and ring GT at the moment.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Ivaniva.
The waiting process is very stressful. Let's hope it's an admin error

Just passing on the info I was told on the phone. She said the letters shouldn't have gone to everyone and also she doesn't think the day on which it was dated 19th July is correct.
I suppose all we can do is wait for an update from Karol! However after the phone call ... i am no longer stressing about it!

I have just received letter dated 19th too; with only 1 day to contact GT.
I rang and spoke to switchboard as they said IVA office closed, and they threatened that if I didn't let EIC have my details that my IVA would fail even though I made my final payment LAST NOVEMBER.
I've had no CC yet or even any contact from GT since my last payment until I contacted them last week and it seems they've basically done nothing, and I can't get a proper answer as to what they have done or how long it might take.
I just want to move on with my life but now I face another weekend worrying. Thanks GT for another ruined weekend.

Did it say 19th? I've emailed them this morning (no point ringing if you can't actually speak to Closures as I've been told).
I've told them that I need a response as at present it's after the 10 day deadline (which was rather unfair since I only received the letter on 28th - and seems I'm not alone!) and at present I've told Grant Thornton that I'm not happy and I don't want that to result in failure of my IVA. I'm worried sick about the situation now and really need some clarity so I can start sleeping again.

We received the above letter from GT, on 28 th July, the letter was dated 19 th July. The postman must have walked all the way from Belfast?
[:(]We have had our IVA for SIX YEARS AND THREE MONTHS, so don't believe these companies when they [:D]laughingly tell you that you will be debt free after five years or sixty payments. They will still harass you[:(]and will we EVER get our certificate from grant thornton?
never ending pain
