How on earth do GT work out over 18K fees for an original 36K debt ? My proposal which was originaly with B&E clearly shows Total Supervisory fee of 6K

Did GT contact you Jeffw ? I assume they can provide a breakdown.

Yes they did contact me and I was spoken to like a piece of dirt. I have asked repeatedly for a breakdown since August yet cannot get any sense out of them.

I am afraid I can only suggest a formal complaint through GT's complaints procedure. If you get no success then escalate the complaint to their regulators.

CAN SOMEBODY ANSWER THIS FOR ME PLEASE?
If you owed for argument say, 50k and you made payments including PPI of 50k. But the IP and PPI company charged 25k does that mean you have returned 100p in the pound or 50p in the pound?

Hi
I'm No expert, but from what I understand, you would add the total original debt (50K), to the IP & other fees (25K), making a total of 75K. you then take off the amount paid (50K), making a dividend achieved of approx 66.6P/Pound..(2/3).
So this would suggest you would still need to pay 25K to make a 100 P/Pound dividend,
Hope this makes sense.

What happens if after you pay all your payments and you fall short of the minimum return?

It depends upon whether the dividend has been described in your proposal as the "minimum" return. If so the IVA will be extended to make up the minimum, or varied to take out the word "minimum" (depending upon how helpful your IP is and how amenable the creditors are).

My proposal says "expected" dividend, which is a different kettle of fish.

Hi Foggy
It had already been extended to 6 years due to not having any equity. Can they extend it beyond this?

Hi Kev, i was supposed to reach 63p in the pound with something in the relation of £6000 equity which sadly i didn't have, however due to increases in my salary over the first 4 years, i'd managed to pay nearly all of that dividend, my IP actually extended my IVA by 6 months due to lack of equity to make up the shortfall, albeit i paid it over in one month. Hopefully this won't be the case with you. xxxx
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

Hi Foggy
When i got my house values after 4 and a bit years and there was not enough equity my IP offered a variation of a further 12 months payment as compensation to my creditors which they accepted so i was hoping now i have paid the extra 12 payments i was done

ps i emailed them a few days ago and they confirmed i had paid my final payment and to cancel my standing order.

Can they still extend it?

They still could -- but it sounds as though your IP is confident, at this point in time, that the dividend has been met, or at least the creditors are happy with what they have got.
