The Bank of Scotland, they said that I did not purchase the PPI policy until the telephone call to activate the credit card and therefore I was not pressurised into purchasing it.

Wiggle -- not being pressurised into taking PPI does not mean it was not mis-sold. Was it suitable ? Did they ask about pre-existing conditions that might prevent a pay out? Was it actually needed ?
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

They wrote "I am aware that your Consumer Credit Agreement clearly demonstrated to you that your PPI was optional and I have concluded that the advisor did not mislead you in any way."

Do you believe that the PPI was mis-sold wiggle? Did you genuinely ask for it to ne included on your credit card, and were the terms and conditions fully explained to you?

I di take it out because they told me that it would cover me if I was off work ill or made redundant. I only claimed because my bank, which is part of my IVA company told me to.

So you saw the benefit of the PPI, and decided that this was something you wanted to purchase? Doesn't sound to me like mis-selling at all!

My biggest issue is that they said they had not looked at my aco**** since some dealdline and it was only me phioing again that made them realise - delays for whatever reason may exist fine (well not fine as none acually tells me) but if it takes my phone call to make them do their job - this is not fair. And then to be told they will update me ion four weeks is frankly disturbing. I refuse to let them get away with this.

I have started the formal complaints proceudre but that's not enough - do i need to speak to Grant THorton's press office before i go to the press? ANyone know if i have to make thi courtesy or can i just go straight to the papers? I have my original contract and all the correpsondance and i plan to just give it to whoever wants to listen.. PLease feel free toc ontact me if you would like to jump on this bandwagon . Cheers

I am not sure that going to the press will get you anywhere Straggly, but you may want to escalate this up the GT complaints system by contacting your IP directly. They will be concerned to note that you remain unhappy about decisions which they may not yet be aware of, and in my experience I am sure they will want to assist.

I suggest that you contact Karol, the GT representative who deals with complaints on this forum. I don't think I can recall an incident when Karol's intervention has not resulted in a successful outcome. If Karol is looking in, I am sure she will encourage this as a first port of call.
