Hi there. I posted on here a few weeks ago letting you all know that I was in the final stages of hopefully having my IVA agreed.

For those that did not read my post I owed around £38k on bank loans, credit cards and overdrafts and was paying around £850 a month which is around 70% of my monthly salary so after rent and bills paid I was going deeper in to my O/D every month.

I took the positive step of sorting myself out and I am glad I did. I have had the help of Vincent Bond and Co and now Liberta Financial who went through my proposals and communicated very well by phone and email and were always around when I needed them if worried about something, even speaking to me at 8pm at night and emails late in the evening - for that I am thankful, they have put my mind at rest the last few weeks.

Anyway, my creditors meeting is on August 20th at 2pm and I will be at work so will be biting my nails all day waiting for the phone call from my IVA 'guru' as I call her now. She is confident it will all go to plan but as a negative person I can see some sort of hiccup - cannot worry about it though I guess! My one worry is my car, it is only worth around £3200 so I hope thatis safe as I need it for shopping and visiting parents etc.

As a footnote I have been reading a lot of posts and it seems that there are lots of us in the same situation so I guess we are all in some sort of family! Great site, great people and great info to be had from the posters and professionals on here.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone.

Mat

Thank you and good luck to you too! Being at work will be best I think as I will be busy but as soon as my mobile phone goes I will be nervous!

Hi and thank you for the best wishes. I spoke to my IP today and she assured me there should be no problems, in gact her words were 'I already have one vote' - does that sound like good news?

Brave lady - especially discussing votes with a client prior to the creditors meeting! I am sure you will be absolutely fine on the day, and very best of luck from me as well.
